Tanmoy Bose, an oft-sought tabla player both as a soloist and an accompanist was born in a family of music connoisseurs, was exposed to the subtle nuances of music and rhythm since childhood. The pulsating charm of rhythms attracted him towards the tabla and he mastered this art first under the guidance of Pandit Kanai Dutta and then under Pandit Shankar Ghosh in the true sense of Guru-Shishya Parampara. Aided by his own imagination and supported by his knowledge of vocal and instrumental music, Tanmoy has carved a niche for himself among the top ranking musicians of the country and has participated in numerous prestigious musical events in India and abroad, winning accolades wherever he performed.

An exotic fire dance show
The ‘AGNI’ presentation begins with an invocation to the Goddess Usha followed by the ritualistic ‘Agni Manthan’, where the fire is lit. Through interesting Vedic chants and ancient Manipuri rituals, Agni is invoked, shown in relation to earth, fire, water and sky and finally, as a purifier and remover of all evil. The Vedic and Manipuri traditions come together through contemporary choreography of the Manipuri Male Dance forms- especially Thang-Ta, the martial art form. An experience one will always remember ….
